Larry E. Davis, 72, of Baker, Illinois passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 10, 1945 in East Peoria, IL the son of Delbert and L. Martha Camden Davis. He married Judith Sebby on January 18, 1969 in Somonauk, IL and later married Tina M. Joslin on January 9, 1976 in Sheridan, IL. Larry was a member of LaSalle County Fair Board, Local #150 Operating Engineers Union, Illinois Valley Horseman’s Association. Larry was a proud Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Tina of Baker,IL; three daughters, Lori M. David Adams of Millington, IL, Teresa A. Ken Duffin of Braidwood, IL and Valerie K. John Martin of Sheridan, IL; five grandchildren, Julina Jonathan Luehmann Adams, Jaylon Adams, Rachael Mike Kirkland, Reilly Martin and Breanna Martin; two great grandsons, Trenton and Parker Kirkland; two sisters, Gloria Cook and Janet Stout; two brothers, LeRoy Davis and Garry Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Judy Davis, one sister, Mary Lou Larabee, two brothers, Jerald and John Davis.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL, with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow in Baker Cemetery rural Leland, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 in the funeral home.
