L. Michael Adkins

L. Michael Adkins, 59, of Sandwich, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at his residence in Sandwich, IL surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 19, 1954 in Sikeston, MO the son of Jackie Lee and Doris McKinzie Adkins. He married Robyn Brigg on December 8, 1979 in Sandwich, IL. Mike was an avid sport fan, he especially enjoyed the Cardinals, collecting memorabilia and toys. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandkids. Mike was a life-long truck driver, currently working at U.P.S.

He is survived by his wife, Robyn of Sandwich, IL; his mother, Doris of Somonauk, IL; one daughter, Amber (Jake) Gray of Plano, IL; one son, Nathan Adkins of Sandwich, IL; three grandchildren, Nicolas Gray, Tyler Gray, and Abbi Gray; three brothers, Larry (Kelly) Adkins of Somonauk, IL, Johnny (Julie) Adkins of Holland, MI; Keith (Kathy) Adkins of Somonauk, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at First Apostolic Church in Sandwich, with Pastor Nathan Wells and Pastor John William Davis officiating.
