Kathy C. Koeppen

Kathy C. Koeppen , 70, of Somonauk, Illinois passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 15, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Walter Krapec and Helen Bergman. She married Karl Koeppen on March 23, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois. Kathy loved being outdoors in her free time gardening, always enjoyed decorating the house especially around the holidays and shopping. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren was her specialty.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Karl of 50 years; three sons, Kevin (Veronica) Koeppen, Ken (Nicole) Koeppen and Keith (Rana) Koeppen; four grandchildren, Kenneth Koeppen, Kirsten Koeppen, Lincoln Koeppen and Finnegan Koeppen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, “Jack” Koch and nephew, Richard Koch.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, Illinois with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Kevin Butler officiating.
