Kathleen "Kay Kay" Patricia Schiradelly

Kathleen “Kay Kay” Schiradelly, 63, of Plano passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 4, 1961, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Kathleen (Baker) Freund. She married Richard K. Schiradelly on September 18, 1993, at St. Mary’s Parish in Plano, IL. Kathleen was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Parish in Plano. She was a member of the Women’s Club and Yacht Club in Bayside Estates, FL, welcoming the newcomers in the neighborhood. Kathleen worked at Eagle Grocery Store in Plano for 24 years, getting to know countless people in the surrounding communities. She even ran into a customer or two while on vacation. Kathleen spent 17 years working for Plano Schools as a paraprofessional and she loved working with children. In her spare time, Kathleen loved decorating her yard, tending her flowers, and off-road UT Ving with friends. Kathleen and Richard loved to travel, especially to their Fort Meyers Beach home where the beach life welcomed them. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family, friends, and her grand dog, Moose.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Nicholas (Caitlyn) Schiradelly; her granddaughter, Paisley Lynn is expected in July; her In-laws, Rich and Barb Schiradelly; her brother-in-law, Danny (Heather) Schiradelly; her nieces, Eliza, Mikayla, and Clara; numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Kevin Freund, and her beloved dogs, Leinie and Ditto.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano. A Prayer Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the funeral home in Plano, with Father Brian Geary officiating. A burial will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Memorials may be directed to your local animal shelter or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
