Kathleen H. "Kathy" (Schlesinger) Harrison

Kathleen H. "Kathy" (Schlesinger) Harrison, 67, of Fort Worth, TX passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. She was born September 22, 1947 in Mendota, IL the daughter of Newton and Freda (Haefner) Schlesinger. She graduated from Paw Paw High School. Kathy attended the University of Illinois in Champaign. She worked as a nurse at several nursing homes in Texas. She enjoyed baking, a good game of cards and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca "Becki" (Barry Bisset) Jackson of Saginaw, Texas; three grandchildren, Brett, Amber and Cheyenne all of Texas; two brothers, Steven (Sue) Schlesinger of Lebanon, IN and Samuel (Judy) Schlesinger of Earlville, IL; two sisters-in-law, Anabelle Schlesinger of Paw Paw, IL and JoEllen Schlesinger of Wadsworth, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leslie "Les" and William "Will" Schlesinger.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church 398 Church Road Compton, IL with Pastor Vicki Sauter officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery Mendota, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., Saturday in the church until the service at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements were handled by Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, IL.
