Karen L. Perkins, 62, Millbrook, IL passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at her home in Millbrook. She was born August 8, 1946 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Charlene Rector Wood. Karen grew up in and around Bristol, IL. She graduated from Yorkville High School in 1963, and then went on to work at Lyon Metal and Vendo. She married Fred Perkins on September 17, 1966 in Bristol, IL and they made their home in Millbrook and together they raised three children. She also was a PMR at Millbrook Post Office for 13 years.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Fred Perkins; two daughters Diane of Boise, ID and Brandi of Lisle, IL; one son, Randy of Streator, IL; one sister, Barbara (Randy) Skyles of St. Peters, MO; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her step mother, Ruby Wood.
