Judith C. Elting Key, 63, of Leland, IL formerly of Millbrook, IL, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. She was born September 11, 1943, the daughter of Donovan Duane and Donna B. (Taylor) Elting.
She was past president of Wheaton American Legion Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Leland American Legion Auxiliary. She was a hostess at Cozy Table in Plano and Silver Dollar in Yorkville for many years. Her contagious laughter made everyone that knew her smile.
She is survived by one son, Dennis (Peggy) Key of Sandwich; five grandchildren, Krystopher, Jessie, Nicole, Cory, and Conner; one brother, Donovan Duane (Maxine) Elting of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Tillie Fischer of Sandwich; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat and companion, White Cloud who will miss her greatly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Dennis A. Key; her brothers, Jerry Elting, Ed "Buster" Elting, and Bernie Elting.
We would like to thank Sandwich Rehabilitation Center for their care and compassion for Judy and our family though out her illness.
