Juanita M. “Nita” Sellers, 86, of Earlville, Illinois passed away, Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Mendota Lutheran Home in Mendota, IL. She was born March 4, 1930 in Sheridan, IL the daughter of Clarence and Eunice Smith Osmond. After her mother passed away at an early age, she was raised by Arthur and Margaret Egeland. She was a member of St. Petrie Lutheran Church rural Leland. She enjoyed being a farmer’s wife, loved working in her flower garden and loved her dog Missy.
She is survived by one step-son, Kent Kathy Sellers of Earlville, IL, two step-daughters, Diane Bernard Klein of Mendota, IL and Marcia Steve Baer of Deer Creek, IL, several step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren. She raised two children, Linda Steve Hoadley and Jim Thompson. Also, she is survived by several cousins including a special cousin Jeannie Hanouw of Leland, IL
. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Sellers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at St. Petrie Lutheran Church rural Leland, IL, with Rev, Gerald Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery rural Leland. According to Juanita’s wishes there will be no visitation.
