Joyce Ann Rife, 86, of Metamora, IL formally of Plano and Naperville, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home in Metamora, IL. She was born September 12, 1935 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Leo and Henrietta (Hatch) Breyne. She married Clinton Rife on May 26, 1956 in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, IL. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL formally of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. Joyce loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by four daughters, Theresa Donahue of Metamora, IL, Sharon Ehr of Holland, MI, Margaret (Dan) Miech of Plano, IL, and Lois (Mike) Kral of AZ; seven grandchildren, Catherine, Amanda, Jacob, Clinton, Jenna, Sarah, and Hayley; two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Jillian; three siblings, Lois Breyne, Leahrae (Michael) Steininger, and Leo (Pat) Breyne; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clinton; one daughter, Patricia Alsvig; two brothers, Kenneth and Ronald (Peg) Breyne.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL with Father Matthew Tomeny officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Naperville, IL. Memorials may directed to American Cancer Society.
