Joshua A. Wykes, 44, of Oak Park, IL passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Elmwood Terrace Healthcare Center in Aurora. He was born February 12, 1972 in Aurora, IL, the son of John and Christine Hansen Wykes. Joshua grew up in Plano and attended Plano Bible Church as a child. He loved art, with a special interest in painting and painted a number of art pieces for Arts of Life. Joshua also enjoyed spending time outside. His greatest love of all was his family.
He is survived by his parents, John and Chris Wykes of Plano, IL; his twin brother, John Wykes of Rockford, IL; two brothers, Eric Clayton “Clay” Amy Wykes of Coral, MI and Benjamin “Ben” Emily Halbesma of Plano, IL; one niece, Melaina Paul Hoving Wykes of MI; three nephews, Cody Mandie Wykes of MI, Tyler and Noah Wykes of Plano, IL; one great nephew, Solomon; and his maternal grandmother, Bonnie Hansen of N. Aurora, IL.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Phyllis Wykes and his maternal grandfather, Robert Hansen.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Plano Bible Church in Plano with Pastor Craig Miller officiating. Burial will be private at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano.
