Joshua Mark Hirner, 28, of Somonauk, IL passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in St. Anthony’s Hospital in Rockford. He was born May 19, 1984 in Aurora, IL the son of Mark and Sue (Peterson) Hirner. He married Melissa Pickrel on July 4, 2008 in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Josh enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, ice fishing and spending time with his family especially his two daughters.
He is survived by his wife Melissa of Somonauk; two daughters, Anna and Olivia Hirner of Somonauk; parents, Mark and Sue Hirner of Somonauk; sisters, Amanda (Jeff) Matthews, Megan (Ryan Grandgeorge) Hirner both of Sycamore; one grandmother, Charlene Hirner of Oswego; one grandfather, Arlen Peterson of Aurora; mother-in-law Kim Pickrel of Somonauk; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leonard Joseph Hirner; one maternal grandmother, Patricia Peterson; one cousin, Andrew Morehouse.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk with the Pastor Dennis Heaney officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday June 15, 2012 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk. Memorial may be directed to the trust fund for his daughters Anna and Olivia Hirner.
