Josephine B. Babos

Josephine B. Babos, 81, of Sandwich, IL passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at her home in Sandwich. She was born April 10, 1932 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Leo Henry and Mattie Louise (Coppege) Zolper. She married George Babos on October 14, 1950 in Aurora, IL. Josephine was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk. She enjoyed crocheting, her dog “Chico” and most of all spending time with her family and many grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Henry) Padilla of Plainfield, IL, Judy (Gerry) Heinz of Hinckley, IL and Lori (Dean) Peterson of Somonauk, IL; two sons, George (Karen) Babos of Leland, IL and John Babos of Sandwich, IL; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Lange of Aurora, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, and one sister Mary.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk with Father Thomas Brantman officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with The Rosary recited at 4:00 p.m.
