Joseph "Joe" Vullo

Joseph "Joe" Vullo, born on May 10, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home in Sheridan, Illinois, on May 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Joe dedicated his life to helping others.

On August 6, 1983, Joe married Sue. Their union was a celebration of love and partnership, culminating in the renewal of their vows in 2007 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, Illinois. Joe was not only a devoted husband but also a loving father and stepfather.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Sue Vullo; stepson, Keith and Aimee Roberts; daughter, Jennifer and Ziv Fisher; grandson, Corbin; and siblings Francesca and Duane Schmidt, Sally and Bob Hartford, John and Ann Vullo. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Nancy, Kathi and Dale, and Teri and Rick, as well as his dear friend Jimmy Holtrop and his beloved four-legged companion, Lady. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Vullo and Marie Bellina Vullo, and his son, Frankie Vullo.

Joe's life will be celebrated with a Mass at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich, Illinois, on May 20, 2025, beginning at 12:00 PM with Father Brian Geary officiating, followed by burial at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk, Illinois, at 1:15 PM.
