Joseph D. Waddell, 79, of Waterman, IL passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. He was born April 16, 1933 in Lake City, IL the son of Vern and Zella (Hall) Waddell. He married Esther L. Stanford on April 6, 1980 in Shabbona, IL.
He is survived by his wife Esther of Ottawa, IL; two sisters-in-law, Marginine Camac of Taylorville, IL, and Kay Orvis of Ottawa, IL, several nieces and nephews and a special friend Philip Nielsen of Waterman, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL with Rev. Christina Vosteen officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Johnson Grove Cemetery rural Waterman, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the funeral home until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.
