John I. Todd, 90, of Earlville, IL passed away, Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Heritage Health in Mendota. He was born July 18, 1924 in Waterman, IL the son of Clarence and Nellie (Wood) Todd. He was veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Earlville American Legion.
He is survived by one daughter Annetta (Gayton) Richey of Earlville; seven sons, Jack (Ulli) Todd, Richard Todd and Dennis Todd all of Leland, James (Cindy) Todd of Plano, Rodney (Darlene) Todd of Pensacola, FL, John (Kathy) Todd Jr. of Sandwich, Greg (Donna) Todd of Earlville; 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; two sisters, Margie Pasley of Compton and Harriet (Gerald) Walsh of Serena; two brothers, Earl Todd of Earlville and David "Bud" (Betty) Todd of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Kenneth and Donald, and five grandchildren, Adam Richey, Lisa Todd, Rodney Todd Jr., Tiffany Todd and Krystal Todd.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Precinct Cemetery rural Earlville, to bury his urn, with Military Honors by the Earlville American Legion.
