John "Jack" Heller, a beloved member of his community and a dedicated family man, passed away on May 14, 2025, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. Born on July 16, 1935, in Sandwich, Illinois, Jack lived a life marked by commitment to Jesus, family, and work. Jack married Kathleen Green on September 8, 1956, they were married for 67 years until she preceded him in death in 2024.

Jack devoted over 40 years of his life to Barber Green/CAT, where his hard work and dedication earned him the respect of his colleagues before he retired in 1997. A proud Elder at Plano Fellowship for many years, he exemplified a life of service and devotion to his faith, which was central to his being.

In his leisure time, Jack enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including riding his bike, working in his yard, and serving the Lord. He was also an Eagle Scout, a testament to his character and commitment from an early age.

Jack cherished spending time with his family, which brought him immense joy. He is survived by his sons, John and Tenley Heller, Tom and Dena Heller, Phil and Susan Heller, and Paul and Sheri Heller. His legacy extends through his grandchildren, including Lindsay and Tracy Zundel, Taryn and Jeff Whipple, Whitney and Dalen Snow, Caleb and Jenelle Heller, Sam and Rilee Heller, Ben and Jessica Heller, Elise and Kaleb Hirtzel, Kristin and Andrew Hirtzel, Jamie Heller, and Jordan Heller, as well as 27 great-grandchildren who will miss his warm presence.

Jack is also survived by his siblings, Don Heller, Marianne Hall, and Bill and Judy Heller, along with his brothers-in-law, Floyd and Noy Green, Jim and Linda Green, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Ruth (Gottberg) Heller, as well as his aunt, Olive "Lala" Heller; in-laws, William and Lucille Green; sisters-in-law, Barbara Heller and Lois Green; and brothers-in-law, Tim Hall and Howard Green.

Visitation will be held on May 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, Illinois. A graveside service will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Jack Heller will be remembered not just for his unwavering dedication to his faith and career, but more so for the love he fostered within his family and the enduring spirit he embraced throughout his life.
