John Paul Haddock, 40, from Somonauk, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was born April 28, 1984, in Aurora, IL, the son of John M. and Joy A. (Kaiser) Haddock. John was a member of Laborers Union Local 68. He was a jack of many trades including carpenter, cook, truck driver, and musician. Music was his passion. He loved performing. He was a member of many bands and wore many hats: drummer, guitarist, bass player, and vocalist. John was also an artist and writer; his talent knew no bounds. He was an incredible cook and baker-- perfect down to the last detail. His smile would light up a room, and his laughter would fill your heart.
He is survived by his parents, John and Joy Haddock; sister Kate (Jonas) Archil; brothers Michael (Jenn Houck) Haddock, Danny (Elizabeth) Haddock, Mark Haddock; aunts Karen Forsell and Alice Kaiser; Uncle Karl Kaiser; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by the lights of his life, his children John Paul (Jr.) and Vivian Linda Lucille; and their mother Chelsey Van Deveer. If you ask anyone, they will tell you that he was a great dad and his children meant the world to him. He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Haddock and Paul and Verna Kaiser. They loved him dearly.
