Joanne M. Duffy

Joanne M. Duffy, 72, of Sandwich, IL passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at her home in Sandwich, IL, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 9, 1949 in, Chicago, IL the daughter of John and Stella (Reagan) Bell. She married James N. Duffy on March 11, 1967 in Cassopolis, MI. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, IL., a Woman of the Moose, she enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. Joanne took pride in lending a helping hand to those in need. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her family and dear friends.
She is survived by two sons, James (Barb) Duffy of Sandwich, IL, Tom (Sandy) Duffy of Sugar Grove, IL; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Joseph, Ryan, James (Jessica), Sara, and Matthew (Gabriella); 4 great-grandchildren Gavin, Tanner, Cole, and Sophia; her twin sister Jeri (Thomas) Siok of McHenry, IL; one sister-in-law, Therese (Joseph) Havel of Daytona Beach, FL; two nieces, Kelly (Ron) Maribal of Daytona Beach, FL and Laura (Mike) McGee of Cary, IL; one nephew, Joseph (Sarah) Havel of Jupiter, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one niece Amy Siok.
Memorial Services will be held for Jim and Joanne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. With Father Kevin Butler officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home.
