Jennifer Pfau, 50, of Serena, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at her home. She was born on October 15, 1972 in Sandwich, Illinois the daughter of James R. and Susan (Wiley) Pfau. She was a graduate of Serena Grade School, Marquette High School, and then went on to receive her Associates degree from Illinois Valley Community College. She worked for Horizon House in Peru and North Central Behavioral Health in Ottawa, and most recently was working as a caregiver to her mother. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing on her family vacations and especially spending time with her family.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Susie of Serena, Illinois; siblings, Amie (Scott) Nystrom of Maple Park, Illinois, Rebecca (Brett) Johnson of Earlville, Illinois, Megan (Jason) Friestad of Ottawa, Illinois, Peter (Jenna) Pfau of Serena, Illinois, Beth (Scott) Govednik of Sheridan, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Tristan, Trent, Faith, Aubrey, Owen, Beckham, Oliver and Quinn; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, one paternal grandmother, Gladys Pfau of Ottawa, Illinois; and her best friend of many years, Barb Kerlin.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jim; paternal grandfather, Bob Pfau; maternal grandparents, Roger and Millie Wiley.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., noon, on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, Illinois. Memorial Service will be at 12:00 p.m., noon, at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, Illinois. Burial will follow at St. Theresa Cemetery in Earlville.
