Jennifer Lynn Alvarez

Jennifer L. Alvarez, 47, of Somonauk, IL passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at her home in Somonauk surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 1, 1966 in Sandwich, IL the daughter of Gary and Bonnie (Nelson) Gord. She married Alberto Alvarez on September 16, 1989 in Somonauk, IL. Jenny was a huge fan of The Cubs and The Bulls; she also enjoyed watching game shows and soap operas. She was very proud to be employed by Imperial Marble for 15 years and Fox River Foods for 5 years. Jenny’s greatest love of all was her family, especially her children.

She is survived by her husband, Albert of Somonauk; her parents, Gary and Bonnie Gord of Lake Holiday; one daughter, Abbie Patricia Alvarez of Somonauk; one son, Aaron John Alvarez of Somonauk; two sisters, Stephanie (Duane) Giesholt of Lake Holiday and Robin (Ray) Raupp of Sheridan.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Gord.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Pastor Arlan Tolzmann officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the funeral home in Somonauk, IL. Memorials may be directed to the family.
