Jeffrey L. Sherwood

Jeffrey L. Sherwood, 48, of Sandwich, IL passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He was born April 13, 1963 in Sandwich, Illinois, the son of Truman and Donna (Weaver) Sherwood. He was a 1981 Graduate of Sandwich High School. He was a life long resident of Sandwich and worked at various businesses in the area including Hardware Hank. He loved music of all kinds and gadgets, collected eagles and was a Nascar and Bears fan.

He is survived by his fiancée, Peggy Cummins of Sandwich; his sister, Jennifer Bagby of Sandwich; his brother, Jay (Sandy Poulnot) Sherwood of Glendale Heights; his step-daughter, Brianne Cummins of Plano; two grandsons, C.J. and Jordan Fuller of Plano; extended family and numerous friends.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joy Janine in infancy; a brother-in-law, Mike Bagby and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
