Jeaness S. Medin, 85, a lifelong resident of Yorkville, IL passed away Thursday. March 23, 2017 at Bickford Assisted Living and Memory Care in Oswego, IL. She was born December 11, 1931 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Parker R. and Genevieve M. Clark Sherwin. She married Curtis H. Medin on January 21, 1971 in McHenry, IL. She was a lifetime member of Yorkville Congregational Church, where she was church secretary for 16 years. She also was coordinator of the Kendall County Food Pantry for 12 years. Jeaness loved gardening, her flowers and caring for others.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Amy Enlow of Potosi, WI and John Kristy Brown Enlow of Yorkville, IL; two grandchildren, Parker Kristen Enlow of Morris, IL and Audrey Enlow of Yorkville, IL; one sister, Marilyn Hohmann of St. Charles, IL; one step daughter, Janice Wakefield of Aurora, IL and one step son, Keith Medin of Atlanta, GA, and one brother in law Richard Duvick of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Donna Duvick.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Yorkville Congregational Church, 409 Center Parkway Yorkville, IL with Pastor Mark Gregory officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the church until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Yorkville Public Library or the Charity of one’s choice.
