Jean M. Smith, 75, of Sandwich, IL passed away, Sunday, September 7, 2014 at her residence in Sandwich. She was born October 17, 1938 in Ottawa, IL the daughter of Roger and Mary (Richardson) Olson. She married George Smith Jr. on November 11, 1961 in Marseilles, IL. Jean enjoyed motorcycling, bowling, bingo, roller skating, camping and fishing. She was a member of Tri-County CB Club and she enjoyed spending their winters in Winter Haven, FL.
She is survived by her husband George of Sandwich, one daughter Elaine (Mark) Smith of Leland; three sons George Wayne (Charolotte) Smith of Winter Haven, FL, John (Sandy) Smith of Somonauk, IL and Ron (Robin) Smith of Plano, IL; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; one sister Carol Ann (Nick) Micetich of Plano, IL; two brothers John (Judy) Olson of Marseilles, IL and Robert (Barb) Olson of Ottawa, IL ; one sister-in-law Mary Olson of Marseilles, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, two brothers Paul and Gary Olson.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Father Jack T. Heraty officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
