Jean E. Martin, 89, of Yorkville, IL passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1932 in Plainfield, IL the daughter of Arthur and Mabel (Baker) Behrens. She married Lee Martin on January 7, 1950. She was a member of Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ for many years. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was part of a large loving family.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela and Patti Martin; three grandchildren, Becky (Sean) Conway, Sara (Kieran Aarons) Hunt, and Jeremy Hunt; six great grandchildren, Sheamus Hunt,
Elliot Conway, Teagan Conway, Lily Hunt, Evelyn Hunt, and Levi Aarons; brothers and sisters, Kay (Bryce) Miller, Art (Charlene) Behrens, Dick (Marie) Behrens, Bill (Carolyn) Behrens, Joanne (Jim) Marshall; sister-in-law Goldie (Alvin) Behrens, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee, her brothers Robert, John, Alvin, Melvin, sisters Marge and Marian.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ, 409 Center Parkway Yorkville, IL 60560, with Reverend Timothy C. Rhodes officiating. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m., following the visitation on Friday in the church. Burial of her urn will be in Elmwood Cemetery Yorkville, IL at a later date.
