Jay W. Martin, 57, of Plano, IL passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at his home. He was born January 29, 1959 in Aurora, IL, the son of Donald and Joann Dierksen Martin. He married Glenna Martin on September 23, 2006 in Plano, IL. Jay was a member of Plano Christian Church, where he enjoyed the men’s prayer group. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding, cars, car auctions, family cook outs and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna of Plano, IL; one son, Alex Martin of Montgomery, IL; two step daughters, Martha Michael Isabell Wilson of Plano, IL and Nicky Howie Johnson Todd of Sandwich, IL; two step sons, Kenny Elizabeth Todd of Sullivan, MO and Kevin Todd of Plano, IL; twelve step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; two sisters, Vicki Sebastian Mitchell and Amy Martin both of Batavia, IL; two brothers, Tod Cathy Martin of Carmel, IN and Scott Martin of Cary, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one step daughter, Lisa Todd.
Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Plano Christian Church in Plano with Pastor Stan Motley officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4,2016 at the church in Plano. Memorials may be directed to the family.
