James A. "Bud" Percy

James A. "Bud" Percy, 85, of Sandwich, IL passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. He was born July 25, 1924 in Oak Park, IL, the son of James H. and Edna Flight Percy. He married Virginia Gould on November 15, 1947 in Forest Park, IL. James was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Somonauk and American Legion Post 487 in Cable, WI. He retired from Commonwealth Edison in 1980 after 33 years of service. James enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one son, Richard (Colleen) Percy of Plainfield; one daughter, Christine (David) Bard of Villa Park; six grandchildren, Bryon, Jason, Rebecca, Eric, Ingrid and Kathryn; two great grandchildren, Patricia and Dawson; one niece and one nephew and many friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Patrica Ann Green; two sisters, Mildred Percy and Eleanor Rooney.
