James Wesley Brown, 70, of Montgomery, IL passed away at Provena Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora, IL. He was born January 17, 1938 in Caraway, AR, the son of James R. and Sarah Ethel (Gabbard) Brown. He married Marcia Jannette Malone on July 8, 1955 in Hernado, MS.
Jim was formerly employed by St. Charles Kitchen and then was a truck driver for Blackwood Motor Freight in Montgomery, IL and retired from Church Hill Trucking in Montgomery. He then was employed by Seal Master Bearing Co. in Aurora. Jim enjoyed riding horses and driving stock cars. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marcia Jannette; two sons, James J. (Rachel) Brown of McDonald, TN and Donald Wesley (Winnie) Brown of Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren, Angela (Bill) Weaver of Montgomery, Kristy (Jeff) Peura of Somonauk and Mike (Rachel) Brown of Aurora; ten great grandchildren and four sisters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lisa Ann and two brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at Indian Trail Church of God in Aurora with Rev. officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours before
Burial will in Caraway Cemetery in Caraway, AR at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
