Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" Marvick

Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Marvick, 90, a long-time resident of Leland, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich, IL. Jackie was born October 13, 1926 in Geneva, IL, the daughter of James and Mabel Edwards. She married Henry Marvick on August 25, 1948 at the home of her parents in Kirkland, IL. Hank preceded her in death on April 4, 2015. They were happily married for 66 years. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Jackie was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Jackie is survived by her children, Diane Dave Elder of Lawrenceville, GA and Andrew Marvick of Leland, IL; three grandchildren, Jennifer Deron Dowhower of Atlanta, GA, Tyler Lowrey Elder of Smyrna, GA, and Lindsay Marvick of DeKalb, IL; three great-grandchildren, Brooke, Lauren, and Colby Dowhower of Atlanta, GA; her sister-in-law, Dixie Marvick of Leland, IL; her brother-in-law, Richard Boos of Portland, OR; several nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Roger Marvick, two sisters, Gwen Patrick and Marcia Wirsing.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland with Pastor Zach Baer officiating. Burial will be at Leland Cemetery in Leland. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to Bethany Lutheran Church or Open Door Rehabilitation in Sandwich.
