Ila M. Borneman, 89, of Plano, IL passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich, IL. She was born August 3, 1921 in Plano, the daughter of Edward and Ruby (Irwin) Coppes. She attended Plano Schools. She married William Borneman on June 29, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. She retired from Western Electric in Montgomery in 1982. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce (Bob) Raines of Rockford; three sons, Donald (Ann) Borneman of Cobden, IL, Arthur (Brenda) Borneman of Aurora, IL and Harold (Laurie) Borneman of Newark; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great great grandchild; one brother, Milo (Kay) Coppes of Kissimmee, FL; one sister, Marjorie Yarbrough of Plano.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, one great grandson, three sisters, Edna Baker, Beatrice Weiss and Nellie Morris and four brothers, Howard, Arthur, Duane and Marvin Coppes
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2011 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL. Burial will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano.
