Heide H. Oehring (Conrads) May 3, 1940 – October 8, 2026
Heide H. Oehring (Conrads), born May 3, 1940, in Germany, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, at the age of 86 in Oswego, Illinois.
She was the beloved daughter of Erich and Hildegard (Grunow) Conrads, both of whom preceded her in death. Heide was also preceded in death by her son, Hans-Christian, and her sister, Ursula Conrads.
Heide was formerly married to Hans Oehring. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Helmut (Vicki) and Helga (Alan), as well as her daughter-in-law, Debbie, along with many grandchildren and extended family members who were blessed by her love and care.
After dedicating many years as a homemaker in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Heide went on to work as a nanny, where she lovingly cared for children in several families over the years. She had the rare gift of nurturing each child as if they were her own, remaining a steady and trusted presence as they grew.
Her faith in God was strong and helped guide her in all that she did.
Heide had a remarkable gift for making others feel loved, supported, and at home. She gave of herself freely to her family and to anyone who crossed her path in need of kindness. Heide truly enjoyed sharing her passion for her German heritage with marvelous traditional delicacies and unforgettable Weihnachten (Christmas) celebrations. Her grateful spirit and positive outlook were constant—she found something to be thankful for each day and carried a quiet joy that uplifted those around her. Simply being in her presence made people feel better.
Heide will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, her unwavering faith, and the deep love she shared with so many.
