Harold F. Weakley, 81, of Leland, IL passed away, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Ottawa Pavilion in Ottawa, IL. He was born June 10, 1929 in Henson, MO, the son of George and Jennie (Stallings) Weakley. He married Louise Dodgen on December 16, 1951 in Charleston, MO. He was a former member of Wyatt Baptist Church in Wyatt, MO. He attended Somonauk Baptist Church. Harold farmed in Leland and Serena area his entire life. He will be missed dearly at the local coffee shops.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters, Linda Sullivan of Leland, IL and Beatrice (Dean) Devine of Seneca, IL; one son, Freeman (Tonya) Weakley of Somonauk, IL; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one half brother, Hunter Weakley of AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step mother, Jessie; one great grandson and three siblings.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2010 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk, IL. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Somonauk Baptist Church Missions.
