Harold worked for Commonwealth Edison and retired in 2000, but continued electrical expertise to upgrade the Sandwich Fairgrounds to what it is today, which always held a special place in Harold’s heart. If you ever wanted to find him, you only had to go to the Sandwich Fairgrounds, because he was always somewhere there, it was his second home. Harold served in the US Army for a tour in Vietnam, (65-67). He was proud to be part of the 5/7 Airmobile Cavalry. Harold loved going to school to talk to the children about his army experiences and getting letters back from them. It was always a special treat.
