Harley Donald Klotz, 89, of Hinckley, passed away Sunday October 20, 2013 at Hillside Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yorkville. He was born January 20, 1924, in Hinckley IL. the son of Morris and Stella (Reimensnider) Klotz. He married Mary Pauline Harrett on August 5, 1945 in Hinckley, IL. Harley was a member of English Congregational Church of Christ in Big Rock, member of DeKalb County Farm Bureau and farmed his entire life.
He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Giddens of Sandwich, IL; one son, Bruce (Debbie) Klotz of Hinckley, IL; Two grandsons, Jason (Monica) Klotz of Chillicothe IL, Brian (Teena Watne) Klotz of Leland; Great-granddaughter, Abigail Jahnessa Klotz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son-in-law Roy Giddens and a brother Sheldon Klotz.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the English Congregational United Church of Christ in Big Rock IL with Reverend Bill Riegel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 23, 2013 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. Memorials may be directed to the English Congregational Church of Christ.
