Gregory Caryl Smith, 78, of Sugar Grove. IL passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 18, 1945 in Aurora, IL. The son of Caryl and Viola Smith. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and collected antiques especially fishing rods, poles, and pocketknives. He also loved playing cards with his family.
He is survived by his three daughters, Tosha McGraw, Tammy (Mike) Shadle, and Tanya (Chris) Villarreal; grandchildren, Lia McGraw, Jake McGraw, Syda Shadle, Nina Villarreal, and Christopher Villarreal.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ginger and Sharilyn.
