Greg Rozborski, 81, of Plano, Illinois, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. Born January 3, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Florence (Foszcz) Rozborski, Greg lived a rich life. On August 2, 1975, he joined in marriage with Brenda J. Reed, a partnership that flourished for nearly fifty years.
Greg was a man of many interests, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, and a familiar face at the Yorkville Moose. His keen intellect was recognized through his achievement of American Contract Bridge League Life Master. A lifelong and unwavering Chicago Cubs fan, Greg’s dedication to his team was legendary, never missing a game. He found joy in bowling, fishing, and the meticulous craftsmanship of model trains. His fascination with the Illinois Railway Museum, particularly the annual "Day Out With Thomas," where he was affectionately known as "Mr. Conductor," brought him immense pleasure.
Above all, Greg’s heart belonged to his family, especially his grandson. A devoted grandfather, he was his grandson's biggest supporter, attending every event with unwavering enthusiasm. His presence was a constant source of love and encouragement. Greg’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family, community, and the simple joys of life.
Greg is survived by his wife Brenda; his son, Adam (Claire Bryce) Rozborski; his grandson, Bryce Rozborski; his sister, JoAnne (John) Wuczynski; his God Daughters, Stefanie (Garry Jackson) Rozborski and Julia (Justin) Pitts; his sister-in-law, Eileen Rozborski; his brother-in-law, Bill Reed; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Steven Rozborski and Michael (Anne) Rozborski, his brother-in-law, Rick Reed, his uncle and aunt, Steve and Jan Schlenker, and his cousin, Allan (Carol) Schlenker.
