Ginger L. Martin, 59, of Somonauk, Illinois passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. She was born March 31, 1957 in Sandwich, IL the daughter of Joseph and Shirley Hartline Tuftee. She married J. Larry Martin on June 29, 1985 at Shabbona Park in Harding, IL. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich, Order of Eastern Star Lorain Chapter #70 of Oswego, IL, drove a bus for Earlville Schools, worked at Ted’s Red Fox in Earlville. She had a passion for animals and loved shopping. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with Larry to numerous destinations. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons, Jamie (Jennifer) Martin of Somonauk, IL, Tim (Lisa) Martin of Chicago, IL, David (Stephanie) Wilson and Bill Wilson both of Plano, IL; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Tristan, Tanner, Jake, Cameron, Samantha, Aubree and Ryker; one sister, Brenda Udo Lindemann of Eagan, MN, two brothers, Tim Ruth Tuftee of Leland, IL and Dale Tuftee of Hinckley, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J. Larry in 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich, IL with Pastor Wayne Derber officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery rural Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL.
