Geneva E. Bohn 100, of Yorkville passed away Saturday May 9, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 14, 1914 in Bluford, IL the daughter of Joseph and Laura (Gibson) Pepple. She married Richard H. Bohn on December 28, 1936 in Bluford, IL. They were married 70 years until his death in 2007.

She was a member of the Millbrook United Methodist Church and living in the rural Newark-Yorkville area since 1949. She enjoyed baking and cooking, she loved making pie crusts, angel food cake, cherry cheese cake and fried chicken. Geneva delivered eggs to numerous people and she was considered the egg lady. Another great time in her life was picnics and conversation with many people.

She is survived by two daughters; Janice (Glen) Martin of Plano, Cherlyn Novak of Yorkville,; Five grandchildren, Diana (JR) Metcalf of Plano, Joey (Scott) Goldman of Hamilton, Alabama, Jeff (Sylvia) Martin of Plano, Kristi (Ken) Mason of Montgomery, Tami (Israel) Acosta of Yorkville; Sixteen great-grandchildren; Jennifer Metcalf of Plano, Billie (Ralph) Meyer of Oswego, Sara Metcalf of Plano, Emily Metcalf of Somonauk, Elizabeth Metcalf of Plano, Kendra Thrasher of Tupelo, Mississippi, Taylor Goldman of Mississippi, Loralai Bannon of Alabama, Collin, Ally and Joseph Martin of Plano, Celeste, Joshua, Tess, Starlynn and Kaia Acosta of Yorkville; six great-great-grandchildren; Chelsea, Andrew and Jacob Meyer of Oswego, Faith Metcalf of Plano, Bella Thrasher and Sophia Gifford of Tupelo, Mississippi; Three nieces; Fern Hail of Paxton, IL., Pat (Victor) Pella of Urbana, IL. and Audra (Leo) Simmons of Shabbona, IL.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, Five brothers; Howard, Vernon, Raymond, Mark and Harry Pepple, one sister; Edith Riggle.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Millbrook United Methodist Church in Millbrook with Pastor Kent Svendsen officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the church until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Millbrook United Methodist Church.
