Garrett Ohme, 36, of Leland, IL passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. He was born July 18, 1981 in Grand Rapids, MN, the son of Garry and Julie (Marcellus) Ohme. Garrett was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland. He loved spending time with his daughter, his family, and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Garry and Julie of Leland, IL; his daughter, Avary Ohme of Big Rock, IL; his siblings, Lindsay (James) DiFaggio and Jake (Tina) Ohme both of Leland, IL; four nieces and nephews, his Godson, Camden, Sophia, Isabella, and Connor; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elyot and Berline Ohme, Harry and Betty Marcellus, two uncles, Terry Ohme and Steven Marcellus.
Private family service was held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland, IL. A Celebration of Garrett’s Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Shabbona Park, north of Harding rural Earlville, IL.
