Frank J. Mazzacano, Jr., 75, of Somonauk, formerly of Chicago, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 15, 1939 in Chicago, IL, the son of Frank and Rose (Marino) Mazzacano. He married Bernice Siegert on June 12, 1976 in Chicago. Frank loved relaxing on his porch, swinging and enjoying a nice cold drink. He also enjoyed old Hollywood action movies.
He is survived by his three children, Beverly (Phil Newman) Orwig of Somonauk, IL, David (Carla) Mazzacano of Franklin Park, IL and Deborah LaBay of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren, Michael and Lena Orwig, Deanna, David Carl and Carmela Mazzacano; two sisters, Mary Mazzacano of Chicago, IL and Nancy (Jack) Orndorff of IN; one brother, Vito Mazzacano of Fox Lake, IL; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bernice.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Father Kevin Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
