Frank J. Brummel, 78, of Montgomery, IL passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his home. He was born January 4, 1936 in Aurora the son of Ralph and Margaret (Hattersley) Brummel. He married Sharon Hage on June 13, 1972 in Plano. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, life long member of the Tiger Club of Aurora, a 20 year member of the Aurora Moose Lodge and the founding father of the Brummel Golf Outing. Frank worked at Mooseheart for 15 years and also worked at Pace Transportation, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Montgomery; one daughter, Michelle (Paul) Malashewski of Terrace Bay, Ontario, Canada; three sons, Frank (Carol) Brummel of Aurora, IL, Steve (Kim) Brummel of Sandwich, IL and Todd (Regina) Brummel of Plainfield, IL; ten grandchildren, Kyle, Kirstyn, Jeff, Jackie, Justin, Adrienne, Zach, Payten, Tailen and Taylor; one great grandchild, Daniel; one special niece, Kara Hage; one great niece, Nyana; two sisters, Jean Ragel of Aurora, IL and Janice Parr of Aurora, IL; one brother, Butch (Sue) Brummel of Sandwich, IL; one sister-in-law, Karen Brummel of South Elgin, IL; one brother-in-law, Gordon Beach of Eagle River, WI; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Florence and Collette, two brothers, Zeke and Dick, two nephews, Mike Woods and Terry Ragel.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Anne‘s Catholic Church in Oswego, IL with Father John Ouper officiating. Burial will follow in Marywood Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
