Floyd W. Johnson, 68, of Sandwich, IL passed away, Saturday, March 24, 2007 in Kewanee, IL. He was born April 14, 1938 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Floyd W. and Leona (Lippins) Johnson. He married Judith Diane Johnson on June 28, 1958 in Kewanee, IL. He married Judith Diane Johnson on June 28, 1958 in Kewanee, IL. He retired from Caterpillar in Montgomery in 1989 after 30 years of service.
He is survived by two daughters, Jill Coit of Omaha, NE and Sheila Johnson of Las Crucez, NM; one son, Frank (Desiree) Johnson of Aurora, IL; one foster daughter, Alice (James, Sr.) Lemke of Earlville, IL; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a special friend, Gladys Hanson of Sandwich, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, George Johnson, and one son-in-law, Terrence Coit.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sandwich with Fr. Jack T. Heraty officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Queen of Angel's Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
