Finas S. "Frank" Whitehead

Finas S. “Frank” Whitehead, 101, of Barry, IL formerly of Earlville, Marengo and Arizona, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Barry Community Care Center, Barry, IL. He was born September 21, 1913 in Vienna, IL the son of James and Belle (Brooks) Whitehead, the youngest of 10 children. He married Bernice M. Haferkorn on November 17, 1938 in Chicago, IL. He lived in Chicago, IL the majority of his life. Frank was a musician, playing the guitar and the bass violin while singing. He was an avid golfer all his life.

He is survived by two daughters, Gail Campbell of Pittsfield, IL and Jane Boardman of Earlville, IL; two sons, James (Eleanor) Whitehead of Arlington Heights, IL and John (Linda) Whitehead of Winfield, IL; eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bernice, and two sons-in-law; Michael and Morgan, and one grandson Thomas.
