Felix R. Bartotto, 77, of Earlville, IL passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his home in Earlville, IL surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 29, 1946 in Adams County in Wisconsin the son of Felix and Vivian (Nigh) Bartotto II. He married June E. Christie on April 6, 1982 in Somonauk, IL. Felix served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the Sandwich VFW, served as Director in VIETNOW for several years. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor in Aurora after 30 years. He was a member of the Earlville Country Club and enjoyed playing in a few different leagues. June and Felix spent 18 years as Snowbirds in Lakeland Florida until the Covid epidemic hit.
He is survived by his beloved wife June; his children, Derrick Bartotto of St. Louis, MO, Erika Stillmunkes of Plano, IL, Brian (Kymberly) Fairleigh of Phoenix, AZ, and Angela (Joel) Perez of Mendota, IL; one sister Beverly (Jim) Bates of Florida; brothers-I n-law, Jim (Mary) Christie, Chip (Raquel) Christie and sister-in-law, Terrie Hunkins.
Nine grandchildren, Allysa, Jocelyn, Xzandrya, Silas, Jacob, Emilio, Zander, Anna, and Sedona; 2 great grandkids, Katalina and Taliyah, and several nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly.
Felix enjoyed Family Time as long as you didn’t stay all day. He enjoyed Golf, Packer Football and a good beer and most of all his wife and did I mention the Green Bay Packers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sallie Kurth and Elveta “Veta” Joslin, In-laws, Jim and Eva Christie; two sisters-in-law, Linda Julien and Joyce Phelps.
According to Felix’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A celebration of His life will be held at a later date.
