Evelyn J. Clapper

Evelyn J. Clapper, 77, of Earlville, IL passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion. She was born August 4, 1932 in Albany, New York, the daughter of Orrin Waterbury and Florence Evelyn (Meyers) Fancher. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Earlville. She served as a “Grandma” at Head Start and Immanuel Lutheran Church Preschool in Earlville for over ten years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Martin of Lebanon, KY; five grandchildren; Jamie (Jennifer) Martin of Sandwich, Tim (Lisa) Martin of Chicago, Micah Porter, Anthony Porter and Leticia Porter all of Lebanon, KY; seven great grandchildren with one to arrive in January; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James Fancher and Burr Fancher.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at United Presbyterian Church in Earlville with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to Head Start or Immanuel Lutheran Church Preschool in Earlville.
