Estill Caudill, 82, of Plano, Formally of Englewood, FL passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 30, 1930 in Floyd County, KY the son of Lee and Dorothy (Tackett) Caudill. Estill married Doris Brenneman. Later he married Ruth Maye. Estill raised and raced harness horses for many years. He was a member of the Moose and Legion. Estill proudly served his county in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed woodworking and trying his luck on the boats.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Henry) Ritzman of Plano and Sandra (Bill) Burnidge of Hampshire; his sons, Claude Caudill of Round Lake and Chris Caudill of Englewood, FL; his grandchildren, Dawn (Steve) Behrens, Michael (Sarah) Ritzman, Mathew (Brandi) Ritzman, Kristi (Adam Stirker) Ritzman, Zachary Caudill, Andrea Caudill, Ashley (Chris) Quarles, Joshua Caudill, Jonathan Caudill, Kristenna Berkland, Jason (Suzy) Berkland, Erika (Charlie) Springstead, Jennifer (Wade) Blackwell, Mathew (Alison) Burnidge and Melissa Burnidge; several great-grandchildren; many, many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, Doris and Ruth, two son, Randall Lee, Rick Caudill, three brothers, Edward Caudill, Freddie Caudill and Clyde Caudill.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Spring Lake Cemetery at 745 S. Lincoln in Aurora, IL. Memorials may be directed to the family.
