Ernestine M. Byrd, 77, of Plano, Illinois passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich, IL. She was born February 19, 1935 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Ernest and Catherine (Bartolai) Bertucci. She married Ralph P. Byrd on September 6, 1962 in Crowne Point, IN. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plano, IL. Before retiring she worked as a cashier at Notre Dame High School for girls in Chicago, IL. According to Ernestine’s wishes there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL.
She is survived by one daughter Catherine Byrd of Decatur, IL; two sons, Michael (Linda) Raphael of San Diego, CA and Ralph (Jenn Goutremout) Byrd of Lisle, IL; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Catherine and Richard; one great grandchild Isabella; one brother, Ronald Bertucci of FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph, and one grandchild Ernestine.
