Erik S. Paver, 41, of Sandwich passed away after a courageous battle with Leukemia Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Horizon Hospice in Chicago, IL surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 17, 1972 in Evanston, IL the son of Arthur and Eileen (Privatsky) Paver. He married Mary Long on June 17, 2000 on the Millbrook Bridge. Erik was a proud member of the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and was a carpenter by trade. Erik was an avid White Sox, Bears and UFC fan but his greatest love of all was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Sandwich, IL; his two small children, Rhaena and Kenneth of Sandwich, IL; his mother and step-father, Richard Wilson of Somonauk, IL; three sisters, Laura Paver and Stephanie Wilson both of Somonauk, IL and Jennifer Wilson of Davison, MI; mother-in-law, Judith Long of Sterling, IL; three sisters-in-law, Diana (Thom) Hellmann of Oshkosh, WI, Catherine (Dave) Frymire of Oak Brook, IL and Elizabeth (Chris) Hafner of Prairie Village ,KS; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Donna) Long, Jr. of Aurora, IL and Will Long of Mesa, AZ and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his father-in-law, Richard Long, Sr.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Sandwich. Memorials may by directed to the family for his children.
