Eric Aden Danielson, 57, of Batavia and Leland, IL, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born October 15, 1960 in Sandwich, IL, the son of Edward A. and Shirley J. Lindblad Danielson. He married Maria A. Kawka on June 30, 1990 in Hickory Hills, IL.
Eric received a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Agriculture from The University of Wisconsin, Platteville in 1983 and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management from Northern Illinois University in 1990.
Eric was passionate about many things and had a myriad of interests. First and foremost he was a loving husband and father. Eric had a love for managing and farming ancestral lands since 1836 in and around LaSalle County. He spent countless hours at the family farm working on tractors, old cars and "rolling stock." Eric spent his professional career in quality and consulting positions in manufacturing companies Brake Parts, Burgess-Norton and Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center. His last four years were as Quality Manager at Armoloy of Illinois. Eric worked hard and long, no matter the circumstances whether professionally, at the farm or in daily life where helping others was always his priority. Overall, he was an exemplary human being.
Eric was a Member of the Leland Lions Club, Board Member of Open Door Rehabilitation Center, Project Volunteer for Equine Dreams, Inc., Member of Rumely Products Collectors and Member of The Horseless Carriage Club of America.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of Batavia, IL; one daughter, Karina Danielson of Batavia, IL; one sister, Lisa Joseph Gregor of Itasca, IL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas J. and Bernadette Kawka of Orland Park, IL; two sisters-in-law, Monica Eric Kantner of Downers Grove, IL and Melissa Kawka of Orland Park, IL; three brothers-in-law, Mark Laura Kawka of Palos Hills, IL, Michael Gena Kawka of Orland Hills, IL, and Thomas P. Dawn Kawka of Las Vegas, NV; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Anna E. Danielson.
