Emmett J. McConville, 86, of Earlville passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Mendota Community Hospital in Mendota, IL. He was born November 12, 1926 in Ophir Township on the Family farm the son of Leo and Frances (O’Donnell) McConville. He was a lifelong member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville. He farmed in Ophir Township his entire life.
He is survived by three sisters, Eileen Full of Sublette, IL, Doris (John) Jessen of Ottawa, IL and Shirley (Richard) Smith of Madison, WS; one brother, John (Florence) McConville of Earlville, IL; one sister-in-law Lois McConville of Utica, IL; 19 nephews and 13 nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Graham, two brothers, Donnell McConville and Leo P. McConville; one niece, Rose McConville and one nephew, Donald Full and two great nephews, Randy Graham and Leo Joe Jessen.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville with Rev. Thomas Otto officiating. Burial will follow in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, IL with a Prayer Service 5:00 p.m.. Memorials may be directed in the form of Masses or to St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery.
