Elizabeth A. "Liz" Johnson

Elizabeth A. “Liz” Johnson, 73, of Somonauk, Illinois peacefully passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at her residence in Somonauk, IL surrounded by her family. She was born December 18, 1941 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Gerald E. and Mary Blust Talley. Liz married Daniel P. Johnson on September 1, 1963 in Elmwood, IL. She was a graduate of Elmwood High School Class of 1959 and later received her nursing degree from Graham School of Nursing in Canton, IL. Liz was a member of Frank’s Evening Home Extension and Tri-County FFA Alumni. She enjoyed volunteering at the local food pantry, genealogy and gardening, but her greatest love of all was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Liz is survived by her husband Daniel of Somonauk, IL; one daughter Brenda Dave Warhurst of Somonauk, IL, one son John Beth Johnson of Milan, IL; 3 grandchildren, Butch Warhurst, Emily Cole Warhurst Weinger and Joe Warhurst; one brother Bob Anne Talley of Berthoud, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Private graveside services will be held. Memorials may be directed to Our Sharing Pantry or Kiskwaukee Hospice or the charity of one’s choice.
